Types of Security
Many people think security is pretty straight forward. However, you'll come to find out there are many different types of officers. You'll have to figure out what level of protection your business or family needs. We will go over different types of security here and what they could offer you.
- Armed Security
- Unarmed Security
- Mobile Patrol
- Event Security
- Uniformed Officers
- Plain Clothes Officers
- Construction Security
- Stationary Guards
- Escort/Bodyguard
- Gate/Entry Security
- Residential guards
- Business Guards
Armed Security:
Armed officers are your best option to protect assets. They are thoroughly trained and undergo more rigorous background checks. They are most likely to control the perpetrators while Law Enforcement arrives on scene. Our armed guards at Fenrir Tactical Solutions are trained to protect you from losses, be financial or emotional.
Unarmed Security:
We understand some businesses prefer to have unarmed guards. Sometimes events are staffed with unarmed guards. Their job is to detect and deter crime. The presence of uniformed unarmed security can be enough to repel the perpetrators from your property.
Mobile Patrol:
Mobile Patrol is a cost-effective way to provide security to businesses or residential areas that need to be protected. With businesses shutting their doors because of the pandemic, crime rates have been rising. Theft, vandalism, and property damage can be prevented with placement of marked patrol vehicles and uniformed officers working random shifts at your location. They will drive by and look for suspicious activity or broken windows and open doors.
Event Security:
Weddings, business meetings, concerts, festivals, and many other events often have security walking around. It deters people from causing issues and can help control dangerous situations if it resorts to that. Crowds tend to get unruly and having trained officers there to do crowd control can protect the people as well as property.
Plain Clothes Officers/Uniformed:
Depending on if you need the officers to be less intimidating, or just more discreet then plain clothes officers are the way to go. Uniformed guards show presence to deter crime before it happens.
Construction Security:
Construction sites are at major risk for theft and vandalism. With so many assets to protect over a large amount of property, it can be hard to keep track of yourself. Having security guards protect your site while you can't is extremely beneficial.
Stationary Guards:
Some businesses need a guard to sit and watch cameras or maybe they're just there to assist if things go awry. Either way, they are staying in that location for their shift.
Escort/Bodyguards:
Some executive personnel or celebrities need escorts to protect them from crowds or people wanting to cause them harm. Bodyguards offer protection to an individual whether they are mobile or at their place of residence.
Gate/Entry Guards:
Many places need to have entrances and exits supervised. The guards can lock down doors in case of emergencies and help to escort people out of buildings in case of fires. You can opt to have the guard check ID of people entering your property or give them a list to be used.
Residential Guards:
It's not just businesses who have assets and individuals to protect. Families do as well. Residential guards are stationed at homes of people who may have had threats or acts of violence made against them. They may need the home to stay protected while they're away on vacation. Residential Guards are a great option for a less lengthy contract to protect your home.
Business Security:
Businesses generate a lot of revenue and typically have a decent amount of assets to protect. If the assets get stolen, the business then loses even more capital trying to recover the loss. Hiring security to protect your business is the best thing you can do. It will save so much hardship in the end when you dont have to file insurance claims, police reports, and lose your sense of security.
