Back To School Safety

 Back to school season has sprung! Don't worry, do your happy dance, I'll wait...

Many kids are back in school, so Fenrir Tactical Solutions wanted to share a few ways to help keep your kids, and family, safe this school season. 

  • Invest in a camera- If your kids are going to be home alone it would be a great idea to purchase a Ring Doorbell camera and maybe, depending on the family situation, an in-home camera as well. Call Fenrir to do a security consultation, we will let you know what options we think are best for your individual security needs. 
  • Trial Run- If your kids are going to be staying home alone, try practicing leaving the home for half an hour at a time so you both can adjust! Make sure they know how to call 911 and emergency numbers just in case! Teach them to use a fire extinguisher and make emergency plans ahead of time. You can also give us a call to set up "on-call security services". 
  • Teach children about strangers- Of course, we know stranger danger, but nowadays we have to talk to so many strangers. Make sure you go over this with your kids, so they know who is okay to ask for help from, and who to avoid! 
  • Route Safety- Kids who walk to and from school or bus stops, need to be extra cautious of their whereabouts. It's important for kids to have the same route so you know where they were but be aware strangers can know their daily routine as well. Teach them to be on the lookout for people who look like they don't belong there.
